If you change someone’s e-mail address in their contact window, the “Display As” field automatically updates to follow a formula: the “File As” field plus the e-mail address in parentheses. But if you change the File As field, the Display As field does not update.

You can&rsquot;t add or replace an e-mail address for an existing contact. Not from the context menu that comes up when you right-click the new e-mail address. All you can do is add the e-mail address as a new entry.
